Wedding Photography: Organising a wedding is super-stressful. The last thing you should worry about is not getting the wedding photographs and album you want, or dealing with an unprofessional wedding photographer. How will you know you are making the right choice when wedding photography is attempted by many a fool with a camera? Well to begin with, wedding photography, in addition to other specialities, is my full time profession. I have been a photographer for the past 9 years, and started Heatwave Photographic Studios four years ago. Over the years I have photographed many weddings, and I have discovered what it takes to produce great photos. Each wedding is different, therefore, the clients' needs are different. When you come to see me, we discuss the different wedding photography packages for your wedding in detail. This gives me the opportunity to get to know you a little better so I can wrap my head around your ideas for the day. I will show you examples of albums and highlights of weddings I have done. I will also show you a full wedding or two, to make sure that you see the quality of a full wedding, and not just a selection of the best photographs I have done. In this meeting we'll discuss your ideas and concerns, including the time the wedding takes place (to ensure we have enough available light), the venue we're shooting at, and all the finer details. We also discuss worse case scenarios like rainy weather etc. This meeting is essential - it ensures that I have all the information I need for a successful shoot, and that you are comfortable having me as your wedding photographer. When you leave my studio, you will be at ease knowing that I am the best person for the job. This allows you to leave your wedding photography in professional hands so you can concentrate on planning your fairytale wedding. This is a general guideline of the process we'll follow: On your wedding day, I start shooting when you are getting dressed, and shoot until 10pm or until the formalities are completed, including the cutting of the cake, the garter and bouquet. I take about 300 photographs and the best gets compiled in an album for you. I use a combination of interior photography, event photography and people photography to give you a complete account of your wedding day. I only have one conventional album package that consists of 80 A4 photographs. The other packages are all storybooks in various sizes. Consider turning your wedding photography into a storybook (or designer) album. They're all the rage right now. It's a beautiful way of presenting your photographs in a printed book that is custom designed to showcase your wedding at its best. When you are away on honeymoon, I will retouch your photographs to get rid of blemishes etc, ensuring you are presented at your best in the final album. I will do a mock-up of the album, which I upload to my website. Once you've had a look at this, you are welcome to request changes to certain photographs or the layout. When it has been approved, the album is off to the printer. Once at the printer, there is a four week waiting period for storybook albums, but it is well worth it, ask anyone in the know. If you like, you are welcome to collect your DVD in the meantime. This will include all the photographs taken at the wedding (excluding the boo-boos). Depending on the size and design of the album you choose, I normally use about 120 photographs in the storybook. These photographs, plus all the extras, get given to you in high resolution so that you can have your own prints and enlargements made. You should be able to breathe easy knowing your wedding photography is in good hands. Contact me (Marinda) so that we can bring your dreams to reality. | ||||
